What to Share Before Contacting the Sales Desk
A useful steel enquiry should include product name, size, grade, quantity, delivery city, billing requirement and expected dispatch date. For example, a buyer asking for MS beams should mention the section designation, length, grade and quantity in MT or number of pieces, while a plate buyer should mention thickness, plate size, grade and whether cutting is needed.
If your requirement is linked to a BOQ, drawing or project schedule, attach the size-wise list or copy the line items into the message. This allows the Raipur desk to check availability, source, approximate weight, freight route, GST billing and document support without repeated clarification calls.
For dispatch discussion, share the site contact, unloading point, pincode, vehicle entry timing and whether long material can enter the site. These details matter for beams, channels, plates, TMT, billets, coils and bulk raw materials because the wrong vehicle or incomplete document set can delay delivery even when material is available.
Buyers who need certificates, weighbridge slips, e-way bill coordination or brand-specific material should mention that requirement at the start. Early clarity helps the team select the right source, confirm whether the document set is available, and avoid quoting material that cannot satisfy the project file.
For urgent enquiries, mention whether the order is for immediate dispatch, rate comparison, tender estimation or future procurement. The response path is different for each case: a live dispatch enquiry needs stock and truck confirmation, while a tender enquiry needs realistic rate assumptions, validity and document notes.
Clear enquiry details save time for both the buyer and the supply team.
When a purchase team sends a complete enquiry, RLG Ispat can respond with fewer assumptions and a more useful commercial answer. The team can check whether the material is standard stock, whether it needs manufacturer coordination, whether freight should be quoted separately, and whether the order requires any special approval before loading.
