Quality Document Verification
At RLG Ispat, structural stability is non-negotiable. Heat-wise documents and test records are checked before dispatch wherever applicable.
Practical Quality Checks
Indian project buyers need the right grade, practical documentation, and clear source information. Our role is to coordinate with manufacturer-backed sources and verify available paperwork before dispatch.
Where project requirements call for additional testing, we can support third-party lab coordination subject to product, source, and buyer approval.
Chemical Composition Records
Review of carbon, manganese, sulphur, and phosphorus values where mill test records are provided.
Physical Property Values
Yield stress, tensile strength, and elongation values are matched with the requested Indian grade when documents are available.
Grade & Heat References
Heat number, grade, section size, and source references are captured where supplied by the mill or stockyard.
MTC / TC Support
Mill Test Certificate or Test Certificate availability depends on product, grade, source, and dispatch route. We confirm document availability before booking wherever possible.
What buyers can request
- ✓ Heat Number: where provided by the mill or source.
- ✓ Chemical Analysis: C, Mn, S, P, Si values where available.
- ✓ Mechanical Properties: YS, UTS, and elongation where available.
- ✓ Dimensional Specs: section size, thickness, length, and weight basis.
- ✓ Indian Documents: GST invoice, e-way bill, weighbridge slip, and loading details.
Quality Checks Buyers Should Confirm
Before confirming a steel order, buyers should clearly state the required grade, applicable Indian standard, section size, tolerance expectation, length requirement and whether the project needs MTC, TC, heat number reference or third-party testing. This prevents confusion between commercial-grade material and project-grade material where documentation is compulsory.
For structural sections such as beams, channels, angles and plates, quality review usually focuses on grade reference, dimensional consistency, physical property records and dispatch paperwork. For TMT bars, rounds, wire products and billets, buyers may also need batch references, chemical values, elongation or bend-related records depending on the use case. Availability of these documents varies by source, so confirmation before booking is essential.
RLG Ispat's quality support is designed to be practical and transparent. We do not treat document availability as an afterthought at the time of unloading. The sales and dispatch teams coordinate source details, invoice data, vehicle information, weighbridge records and certificates wherever applicable so that the buyer can maintain a cleaner project file and reduce approval delays at site.
If a consultant, fabricator or end client has a specific approval format, that format should be shared before the material is booked. Early review helps confirm whether the requested values can be supplied by the selected source and whether third-party testing is required before dispatch.
